Who: Donna (narrative) What: She wakes up and everything seems normal, until…. When: July 14, Morning Where: Her Apartment Rating: low
She woke up, alone, as was usual now, but everyday was a little easier without Martouf. She was pretty sure she was going to miss the man and feel regretful she never got to say the L word to him, but she liked to think he was happy back home - and she refused to discover anything else by asking his friends from home. In this instance, ignorance really was bliss.
She made coffee and was proud of herself when she reached for a yogurt instead of a donut and milled around with her coffee until she came to her window. She froze in mid-sip as she looked out the window. The street looked normal. In fact, one of the neighbours across the street was, again, getting a ticket from the parking bylaw officer for parking where they shouldn’t. What caught her attention though was whatever was hovering over the building across the way. Was that… a spaceship delivery service?
“Holy Geez…”
She went to the tv and turned it on, wondering if there was a new business in town. She surfed until she got to the news and the weather seemed typical, except… two suns? Maybe she was dreaming or something. But then a news advertisement for the moon came on and Donna looked at her phone to see the date.
