It was still a knew feeling for Thorin as well, but in the best possible way. He couldn't help the smile that appeared on his face every morning when he woke up and saw the smaller Hobbit curled up in his arms. For the first time since the first appearance of Smaug and the loss of his homeland, Thorin felt completely at peace living in one place. He had no desire for another life, and he wanted to do everything that he could to make this life a good one for the both of them.
He had already been stirring, so when he felt Bilbo move, he began to stir a little more. He felt the hobbit nuzzling in against him and chose to remain still. He enjoyed this sensation so much, that he hadn't wanted to stir suddenly and prevent it from happening.
Once Bilbo had made himself comfortable and closed his eyes, Thorin opened his own eyes and just watched Bilbo for a moment. He couldn't help himself; the young hobbit was so perfect laying there in his arms.
