On The Beach Who: Ellen Brandt and OPEN What: Enjoying Beach Weather When: Saturday Where: The Beach Warnings: None Likely Stataus: Incomplete
One of the good things about being self-employed was being able to set your own hours. When word of the beach appearing reached her, Ellen folded her hand--it was no good anyhow--and cashed out. A quick stop at home to change, and then she was on the beach. And a glorious beach it was. Gorgeous white sand, blue water sparkling in the sun, even a couple of dolphins could be seen leaping and cavorting in the distance.
Ellen spread out her beach towel to claim a spot on the beach, anchoring it with her bag, and with a small cooler she'd brought. Then she ran down the beach, plowed through the water until it was thigh high, and dove beneath a breaking wave to pop out of the water behind it. She hadn't been to a beach in...years. She'd missed it.
She spent quite a while in the water before finally emerging to sit on her towel and crack open a beer from her cooler.
