Thorin had never imagined himself living a life like this one, but for the first time in a long time he felt like he had a life of his own. He loved his kin more than anything in the world, but the strain of being king had weighed heavily on his shoulders, and now here he was finally able to let that responsibility go. He could make decisions for his own life without worrying as much about what it would mean for his people. Hopefully, they were happy wherever they were, and now he could have a chance to be happy here too.
One of the things that Thorin appreciated about Bilbo was his honesty. Of course, there had been times when the Hobbit had to lie when they had been on their quest, but when it mattered the most Bilbo was honest to a fault.
"I feel the same way. You are the most important person in the world to me now" he admitted, seeing no reason to hide his own feelings since Bilbo was being so open.
"They would have to drag me away kicking and screaming".
