Bilbo had to smile slightly at Thorin's words. The two hadn't always gotten along, especially in the beginning. Bilbo was glad that this had changed, though, because he truly cared for Thorin. He always would. Even though he had returned to the Shire after his adventures with the Dwarves, Thorin would always hold a special place in his heart.
So he was grateful the Dwarf was there with him, in Madison Valley. He didn't want to think about life in this town without him.
He placed a hand on Thorin's shoulder, briefly, before settling down at the table to eat. "I also picked up something called ice cream -- it's apparently sweet and frozen and comes in a variety of flavors."
