Bilbo considered this for a moment, then nodded slightly. Thorin's words made sense. If Aragorn truly happened to be from Bilbo's future, then Frodo was most likely a part of that future as well. It could very well be that Frodo hadn't even been born yet -- the name didn't ring any bells. Bilbo thought he would have at least recognized the name, had Frodo existed in his time.
"It must be strange for Aragorn," he mused. "Being in this strange world without anyone he truly knows from home. Yes, he's familiar with me -- an older version of myself, but still me -- but that is not the same."
He considered this for a moment as he moved around the kitchen, finishing up getting everything ready for their meal. After he made sure the plates and everything were accounted for, he paused beside the Dwarf. "It makes me grateful that you are here, Thorin. I am grateful for Fili and Kili as well, of course, though they are not the same."
"Out of everyone, I would prefer you to be here with me."
