"From you? Of course not" he replied, that same smile still showing through on his features. Thorin had been wrong about the young Hobbit in the beginning, and this was one of those rare times when he was glad that he had been wrong, because Bilbo had become someone that he could truly rely on. He was a good friend and in Thorin's life that was rare. When you come from a royal bloodline it can be hard to make friends, because you never know if they are truly your friend or if they just want a taste of the power and prestige that comes with being your friend. Thorin never once questioned that with Bilbo. He had underestimated him in the beginning for sure, but never once had he questioned his character as a person.
"That sounds lovely" he responded, more than happy with the chosen option for their lunch. It also meant less clean-up and that could be a good thing for them. Perhaps, they could spend some more time just enjoying one another's company.
"Interesting. Could this be one of those different points in time scenarios?" he asked, hoping that even more people might show up from Middle Earth. Having more of his own kind here, or others that know of them might help him to settle in.
