Thorin understood that Bilbo was settling into their surroundings, and he was making a life for himself in their new home. He didn't hold that against the Hobbit one bit, and if he were honest, he was actually happy to see Bilbo finding his way so easily. It was Thorin that was struggling with this new world and finding his own place in it. It was an odd feeling for him as well, because he was usually so adaptable. But something about this place or about him in it had just been harder for Thorin to navigate. He didn't blame anyone for it, and that was why he hadn't talked to any of his kin or Bilbo about it. He didn't want to burden them with his issues, and surely as a king he could figure things out for himself.
Thorin had spent the morning reading some more of the books that he had found about this new world. He firmly believed that if he could learn more about this place that he would be able to get past whatever this block was and find his way in Madison. He had just finished a chapter in the book he was reading and decided that it was time to find some lunch. So, he placed the book on the table and was about to stand up when he heard Bilbo's voice from the other room.
It seemed that Bilbo had the same idea, so Thorin decided to join him. He made his way through the house, his footsteps echoing through the house as he made his way down the hallway and into the room. "Perfect timing as always, Master Baggins" he said, with that trademark grin of his.
