Who: Bilbo Baggins and Thorin Oakenshield. What: Catching up. Where: Their home. When: Monday, April 3. Evening. Warnings: TBD.
Bilbo had had a week. Or, really, just a few couple of days. He'd encountered a man from Gondor -- a man named Aragorn who appeared to know a Frodo Baggins, plus Bilbo when he was older. Plus he'd had to work, something he was not accustomed to doing. Not that he didn't enjoy the work, because he did. He enjoyed reading, he enjoyed books, so working at That Book Place was a logical job for the young Hobbit.
He had been off work that Monday, and he was taking the day to relax. He had asked the nice (blue) owner of Homebrew if he would be able to order food and take it with him for dinner, for him and Thorin. He wasn't exactly sure if Thorin would be home when he arrived, but he could keep it warm for the Dwarf. He'd also gotten some ale from the restaurant. Thorin had been taking care of most of the food needs of the two, and Bilbo wanted to help out from time to time. Which was why he walked in the door with food and ale.
Bilbo was generally rather quiet when he walked and moved around, it was part of the reason he had been signed on as a burglar for the party of Dwarves. Though he had never been a burglar before. As he entered the kitchen, he called out "Thorin? I have food." Just in case the Dwarf hadn't heard him come in. That had been known to happen. He started pulling the food out of the bags, still not completely sure if Thorin was actually home.
Until he heard the sound of boots in the hallway. ...well, that answered his question.
