If he wanted to avoid telling this girl he'd almost been smashed by an AC unit, it didn't bother Damien in the least. As far as he was concerned, he'd done his good deed for the next century. In fact, he was going far beyond that said good deed by sticking around. He should have bailed as soon as he saw the guy hadn't passed out.
Alyssa? Damien managed to not look surprised, but only because being a vampire happened to give him apt control over his emotions. Regardless, he wasn't going to have Alyssa come out here just to walk this guy home. No fucking way. She had enough on her plate with the art show in a few days.
