Tabitha noticed the hostess leading Kol towards the table and the sheer sight of him did make her smile. Even if it felt strange to her sometimes to have so many people that cared her about, she was still grateful to have them in her life. And she wanted to make sure that they knew that, so if that sometimes meant treating them to lunch or just making sure she had plenty of time for them, she would happily do so. Honestly, this kind of thing was fun for her too, because it was something that she rarely got to do back home....if ever.
"Kol" she responded, a hint of rare genuine joy in her tone as she greeted him. Now, that he was comfortable at the table she leaned back a little more in her seat and made herself more comfortable as well. "Life's been good" she responded, her full attention focused on him. When the waitress came, she would order; she didn't need to look at the menu, because she already knew what she wanted.
"I reconnected with someone I knew back home" she added, more than happy to talk about her life with Kol. It was odd for her, but for some reason she will did trust Kol. Perhaps it was the fact that he hadn't been scared of her when they met. or perhaps it was the way Kol had always been willing to spend time with her. It was almost like what she thought having a family should actually be like, instead of the crappy one she had been born into.
