Lucifer avoided Chloe like the plague. Samuel didn't exist in his reality. Even Daniel said that was a wise decision. Rory, on the other hand...Lucifer would tear his wings off again for her. Whatever she wanted, Lucifer would strive to get for her. Did she want a dragon as a pet? He'd find one and put a leash on it. Would she want him to run naked through the snow? Well, it wouldn't be the first time.
Eve had arrived, so that made two people from home Lucifer didn't resist speaking to. He worried she would inadvertently get herself into trouble here so he would make a point to look after her. Especially now that she had a ward.
But dinner alone with Rory tonight would be a pleasant distraction from everything. Lucifer, dressed perfectly as always, arrived early so he could have a drink or two before his daughter arrived. When she did, he spotted her from the bar then went to join her. In his hand was an appletini.
"I have no bloody idea why you Aunt Eve likes these things so much, but I got curious. Now that I've tasted it, I'm further baffled."
