"Easier to die, I think," she said after a moment. "I didn't die, though I expected to. I wound up here instead. But...even if I'll never see them again, I know that my shipmates and my family are still alive, still safe. And that's comforting. I don't think that I'd want to survive them all."
That kind of grief, and probably some survivor guilt, must be hard on Thor. Charly smiled, though, even if it was a little forced. "I'm glad to hear that. So I'm pleased to call you friend, Thor."
