He had been noticing through observations that people seemed to be relaxing more as the night went on. For Spencer Reid, this wasn't the case. It wasn't that he felt more anxious, but he was remaining at the same level of anxiousness the entire time. For Reid, it was the new person each time that was the battle and while people seemed to be 'finding their groove', Reid had never really found a 'groove' while talking to people. It didn't mean he wouldn't keep trying though.
He made it to the table early and sat down in his dress shirt and tie. He didn't have a drink with him other than a glass of water, but he also wasn't staring as his phone as he waited. Instead he was observing people as they walked around, trying to anticipate who his next 'date' was.
