Spencer wasn't really picking up that it was a weird thing to ask or to know. Instead he took her question at face value and explained. "Well typically a more modern curtsey is supported on the front leg, but in the early 19th century it was more typical to support your weight on the back leg. It was also more typical to bend your head more. And the way you've put your hair up is also more indicative of the early 19th century." Reid went on to point out a few 'differences' that probably literally no one else would notice but him about her hair.
