Clem was slowly settling into a routine in this place and for her that was a very good thing, because it helped her to stay on her meds. She was hopeful that in time she wouldn't needed them anymore, but for now they were a part of her everyday life....as was time with Henry. Though she certainly preferred the latter. It never once bothered her that she had to take him everywhere with her, because he really was her best friend. He did so much more than just help her with her condition; somehow he seemed to always know what she needed. She may not be sure about a lot of things, but the one thing that she was always sure about was that a life without Henry was no life at all. So, it wasn't surprising that once she finished her lessons for the day and decided to go out for a tea and a pastry, that Henry was walking along right beside her. That was one of the upsides of her condition; she got to take her best friend everywhere with her. As the two of them walked down the street, Clem did her level best to ignore the people that she passed. It wasn't that she wasn't social in general, but more that right now all she wanted was some peace and quiet in one of her favorite places in town. She could have her favorite snack and perhaps even enjoy some reading. Of course, afterwards she would stop by that nice store that had treats for Henry and make sure she had a good time on their outing as well. In her mind, if she got to have an evening like this then he certainly deserved a treat while they were out as well. After all, if it wasn't for him she wouldn't be allowed to have evenings like this. Fortunately they weren't busy and it didn't take her long at all to get her food and beverage, so she made her way over to one of the free tables and she took a seat. Of course, Henry did his usual thing and stretched out on the floor under the table. This would allow him to still be close to her, just in case she were to have a seizure and he needed to warn her. Right away she took a bite of her pastry and it brought a smile to her lips as she chewed. It really was good and honestly it was just nice to be out and about, and be done with her school work for the day. |
