WHO: Liam Stewart and OPEN WHAT: Having Coffee on a grey morning WHEN: Sunday WHERE: Starbucks WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Open/Ongoing
Winter in Madison Valley wasn't Liam's favorite time. It wasn't like further north where there was snow on the ground all the time, and it wasn't like further south where it stayed green and warm. No, here it was often grey and mushy and just generally unpleasant. He wished spring would come, but there were still weeks before he could even hope for that.
Of course, even disgusting winter Madison Valley was better than where he'd come from, and he wouldn't quickly forget that. How could he? There really wasn't a much worse place than where he'd come from. Well, maybe some of the other people here were from equally bad places. And he hoped they'd get to stay here as well.
He'd been at Starbucks for a long part of the morning, trying to cheer up his insides a little and push away the greyness outside. As he drank his coffee, he scrolled the internet, looking for anything interesting that might pop up. It was just the normal - new people arriving on Saturday night, which seemed to be - with a few exceptions - the norm. He had no idea what that meant, but accepted it all the same.
The place had grown crowded since he got there, but he didn't know anyone well enough to chat. He really needed to get to know more people.
