The way he talked about the owner, had her instincts tingling, and she studied him with interest. In being a lawyer you had to know how to read people, and he was certainly interesting to read. She definitely pegged him as not being entirely single, which meant that friendship was the safest bet here, and one Jen hoped she could hold out for. She could use more friends around this place.
