"That's a lot to unpack," Michelle said. "Time travel and/ an apocalypse?" He probably had some fascinating stories, if he were in a mood to talk about them. Though he might not be. Adventures weren't nearly as romantic when you were stuck in the middle of them.
"But you're right. Looking so young forever has definite downsides. I'll never buy a drink without getting carded, at least here in America. And its difficult to claim the experience I have when looking for work. It must be worse for you."
Michelle did not envy him being eternally fifteen. She was just barely an adult herself, physically, and always at a disadvantage against larger, stronger opponents. She'd heard of Immortals who'd died young, trapped in adolescent or younger bodies forever, though she'd never met one. They tended to die young, or become treacherous in the extreme, by necessity.
He didn't set off her radar, so he didn't have to worry about headhunters, at least. "I'm Michelle, by the way. It's nice to meet you."
