Who: Alyssa, Matt, Sylvie What: Matt’s arrival Where: the streets When: the evening of Matt’s arrival Warnings: a little violence probably. Status: incomplete g-doc (will finish via log)
Matt could most definitely say he hadn’t expected to be fighting alongside Frank, given how the night began. Frank tying him up on a roof certainly hadn’t been on his plan for the night either. He didn’t exactly look forward to seeing Karen and Foggy in the morning. Foggy would undoubtedly be concerned as fuck. All of the marks meant he’d lie to Karen again and at this point she’d definitely hit her quota of lies.
As he twisted his body into a hands free flip, to punch the guy, …he was suddenly punching the air. As he landed on someone, so Matt couldn’t even really land properly without causing an injury. He might be blind but he could see the outline of a female.
Sylvie was headed home from work, mulling over what she wanted to do with her life here. Why was it so hard for her to figure this out? She wasn't really sure if that was ever going to happen.
Next thing she knew she was being landed on. Her first reaction was to throw whoever it was off of her, because really that was not the best way to end her work day.
"What the fuck?" She growled out. Alyssa, for her part, had also been walking, earbuds in her ears. She was on her way to see Damien for the night and didn’t want to be late. His crankiness she could very well do without thanks.
Which is when she suddenly found herself flying to the ground as a person took her out and landed on her. “Ow! Seriously? What the fuck?” Yes, she did actually echo Sylvie from seconds ago, but unknowingly due to her noise canceling earbuds.
Eyes took in the figure and…it was God damned Matt Murdock. The one Marvel guy she’d crushed on forever; pinning her to the ground and not in the fun way. Is this what they meant by don’t meet your heroes? Either way, the Netherling couldn’t breathe very well with someone triple her body weight on top of her.
“Could you, I don’t know, get off me? You weigh a fuck ton, Matt Murdock.”
Matt being thrown didn’t exactly feel unusual. He got thrown a lot in his vigilante persona. However, usually he had a better grasp of his surroundings and didn’t take down unsuspecting girls.
“Oh, yeah, sorry.” Hell’s Devil disentangled himself and then helped the pretty blonde to her feet.
Wait.
“You know who I am?” Now he turned at the woman who threw him. “I’m so sorry. Are you okay? Where the hell am I?”
She was dusting herself off, though paying attention, ready to throw down as it were if necessary. "Yeah, I'm fine it's not like you Midgardians weigh much." She picked up her notebook from work.
Then looked over at Alyssa, a beat, "I didn't see you there." Which was as close to an apology as she was going to get from Sylvie. Then she looked at Matt, "You're in Madison Valley, small town, middle America, trapped, welcome and all that." Alyssa stood up and looked around. She pulled out her phone and groaned. “Fuck me I’m gonna be late.” Without missing a beat, she pulled out her phone and spoke rapid French to the other person.
“Yes. I know who you are.” Shit. Alyssa hadn’t meant to out that she knew him, but the whole landing on her didn’t help her think straight. Well, no going back now. To Sylvie, Alyssa added. “I hope not or I have questions.” Like, what the Netherling did to piss off the goddess. She looked at Matt and back at Sylvie.
“Yup, what she said. We’re just…here. But hey, at least it has coffee and bars.” And a vampire who did not seem pleased about this turn of events. Not like Alyssa could fix it.
Matt could hear the entire conversation and he found himself with questions, including if the girl he landed on found herself in an abusive relationship.
“I can’t be in Madison Valley. I need to get back to New York.” Of course Matt didn’t realize how tired that line became with arrivals in this place. Most had lives to which they wanted to return.
“We’re…okay in a Dome. In Indiana,” Matt paused as he heard someone in heels approaching them. She introduced herself as the Welcoming committee, gave Matt the lowdown on everything, plus keys etc. “...I don’t suppose there is a clothing store.” Matt definitely didn’t want to keep wearing his Devil suit.
Her smile to Alyssa was tight, tired almost, before she decided that today was just not her day and she really didn't know what to make of that fact. All she wanted to do was go home, throw headphones on and ignore reality.
And wonder what she'd done to deserve her current lot in life.
Instead she had to deal with this.
"Yeah there's a lot of clothing stores. I'm sure you can find just about anything here honestly. Welcome to Madison valley, it only gets weirder from here." At this point, Alyssa didn’t think this was particularly her day either. Her head hurt and quite honestly landing on her wings did not particularly feel nice. Dealing with her grumpy vampire didn’t particularly thrill her either. “You’re…it’s complicated.” The Netherling didn’t want to admit her lifelong crush on Matt Murdock.
To Sylvie, she added, “Are you okay?” That smile spoke a lot and none of it particularly seemed interesting.
Matt looked at the girl on whom he’d landed and decided to not press her for details, especially since he could hear her heartbeat and that she might be slightly shaken.
“I’m Matt. Again, I am really sorry.” Matt Murdock did not like almost hurting people and in his five minutes here so far? He’d almost hurt two people. The Devil of Hell’s kitchen realized he didn’t have his cane. “Of course I get sent here…in this suit, without my damn cane.”
