There was no denying that Lucky missed her family and her friends back home, but she certainly saw the good in this place as well. She had friends and family here too, but more than that she had opportunities here that she would never have had back home. Playing lacrosse was one of those benefits, and the friends it led to was the best part.....though she wouldn't admit that to Coach anytime soon. She knew how much he liked to win and while she certainly preferred winning to loosing, she also knew the importance of being a part of a team. So, when the chance to spend some more time with Laura came along she had jumped at it. She could already tell that Laura was becoming a friend, and Lucky was very happy about that. She thought that the two of them could really help each other settle into this place even more.

She had been trying to think of something that the two of them could do together and then it kind of occurred to her. They both seemed to like doing things outdoors, so Lucky thought it might be fun to take Laura to meet Spirit. Lucky just had this feeling that Spirit and Laura would both appreciate the wild streak they shared, much the same way she did. So, she had packed a picnic for them all to share and she made sure to leave a note for Kurt reminding him about her outing. She also promised that she would be home before the curfew that they had agreed to, because the last thing she wanted to do was worry him or let him down in any way.

Now that everything was done that she needed to do, she made her way out of the house with the picnic basket in hand. She had arranged with Laura to meet at the stables, so she headed straight there. With how excited she was, she walked a little faster than she usually would have, so she wound up arriving a full half hour early. Since, she didn't think Laura would be here yet, she made her way over to Spirit's stable, and the moment she spotted him she wrapped her arms around his neck. Due to her love for Spirit she got lost in the moment and was still busy cuddling with him as the time approached for Laura to arrive.
