Frigga had been out to eat a few times since her arrival; she had spent most of her time living on produce at home.....and recently she had been teaching herself to cook for herself. It just seemed healthier that way here, because that way she knew what went into the food. But tonight was one of those nights that she felt like treating herself, but more than that she really did want to get out of the house for a little while. So, she had decided to give in to both of those urges and go out for the evening. In the past she might have been ashamed to go out on her own, but those days were behind her now. One of the things that living here had taught her was that she could be her own person. She did not always have to be in the company of her husband or her sons to go out into the world. She had also discovered the joys of wearing modern Midgardian clothing, so when she finally made her way out of the house she was wearing a pair of perfectly fitting blue jeans and a navy blue sweater. Her long blonde hair was pulled back into a ponytail and the black boots that she wore clicked on the pavement as she walked. It was nice to be able to walk down the street without people bowing to her and then there was the fact that she didn't have to worry about extra security. She could just go out on her own when she wanted to, without having to worry about all of the extra planning. She was friendly though, smiling and even addressing some of the people that she passed with the appropriate 'Good Evening'. Making her way into the establishment she looked around for an empty booth; this had been one of the few places that she had visited more than once. It was certainly the closest to reminding her of home, and sure enough she headed straight for a favorite booth of hers, only to notice that there was a man sitting there already. In an instant she made the decision; he seemed to be alone, so she continued her trek to the table. "Would you mind if I dine with you?" she asked, flashing him a small hopeful smile. |
