A Horse Is A Horse, Of Course, Of Course Who: Hannah Lewis and Wei Wuxian What: Random Encounter (Match-Up) When: Monday morning, January 9 Where: Madison Valley Stables Warnings: None So Far Status: Incomplete
Hannah showed up at Madison Valley Stables early in the morning. She'd checked their website so she knew when they opened to the public. The place was bigger than she'd expected, with quite a few more animals than she would have thought. She blinked in the morning sunlight, momentarily overwhelmed by the smells she encountered. She'd gotten pretty good by now at filtering out extraneous sounds, but the skill didn't carry over as well she'd have liked. Still, stables were smelly places, so she'd best get used to it.
She approached the first employee she saw. "Excuse me," she said. "I apologize of there's someone specific I should speak to, but I'm not sure where to go. I'd like to see about getting some riding lessons."
It wasn't like she needed them. She didn't own a horse and wasn't planning to buy one. But she'd wanted to learn to ride since she was child. Even after she'd grown up and was making good money, though, she'd never gotten around to it. But she had more free time now in Madison than she'd ever managed in New York, so this seemed like a good time to try it.
