Nate was slowly starting to make himself at home in Madison; even if he did find himself sent back home at some point, for the time being he was stuck here. So, he would honor his team by making the most of the situation. But perhaps the most shocking revelation here was that he was actually branching out and making a few new friends. Of course, it wasn't a big circle, but for him even a small circle of new people in his life was a big development. But on this evening he had headed out of his apartment fully prepared to dine on his own. He enjoyed moments to himself, and he certainly hoped that his new friends would come to understand and accept that. These moments allowed him the time that he needed to take a break from the thoughts that often rushed around in his head when he was trying to read the person across the table from him. He had been working in his apartment most of the day; mostly a combination of little things to make the place more comfortable for him. He did little his little comforts, and he wasn't ashamed of them either. Most people had things in their lives that they preferred to have a certain way, and he was just the same. The good thing was that now he was finally finished, and he could go out have some dinner and rest for a bit. He might even go for a walk after his meal, maybe even buy a few extra groceries for his kitchen. He had a few things that he liked certain brands for or even specific flavors, so he was going to check a few other stores to see what he could find. But first he really should find something to eat, especially since he had skipped both lunch and breakfast. All he had consumed that day was some coffee, water and a couple hard candies. So, he really was quite famished. Making his way through the door, he was extremely grateful when he saw that there would be no waiting for a table. Once he was in his seat, and the waitress made her way to the table he ordered what he wanted without even having to look at the menu. He watched as she walked away and then turned to wait for his food to arrive. |
