Re: Nikita & Oliver
Nikita had known what it was like when Michael had found out about his kid. No matter what, she was never ever going to come between anyone with their kid. She was a lot of things, but putting herself above more important things and people was not one of those many things. As far as she was concerned, she should come way after the kid. Just because she didn’t want any, didn’t mean she was completely clueless with kids. More like after everything, she felt it was better to never have kids of her own. Her own experiences and putting herself in their shoes was where her insight came from. “You got nothing to thank me for,” she told him with a small smile, and he really didn’t. Not that she wouldn’t take the kiss to her cheek.
“You still have skills that can be used elsewhere. You just need to figure out what and where. Perk of this place is being able to find who you are as a person. You can try different jobs or find one that speaks more to what you want to do,” she offered up, hoping it would be of some help. “No, but you can use that until you figure out what you want to do. Not everyone sticks to the same career path so why should you?” Nikita was content with a normal job for once; however, she knew that wasn’t for everyone. “Can always go strip. Who wouldn’t want to see that body?” Her voice was low so only he heard her teasing him with that comment.
For years, she was trained to notice even small details hence her catching the slight flush of his cheeks. An amused smirk showed up, pulling him close once they reached the bar. “What were you thinking about a few moments ago with my comment?” She asked before ordering herself some wine, letting him order what he wanted before she tried to get her question answered. Oh, she had a small idea what may have gone on in his head, and she didn’t fully mind, but she wanted to see for herself.
