Nam-Ra & Leo V
Nam-Ra was standing by the promise that she had made to Nick about not spending her winter break with her nose in a book, especially ones that were meant for school. Tonight, she was going to have some fun, both for herself and for the people back home who weren’t here. New Year’s here was much bigger than how it was done back home, mostly because later in the month, Korea had a second New Year's that was much bigger. Another of the many things that were different than back home.
There wasn’t really a reason to go all out on dressing up for the arcade, which was a nice change since she usually had to attend parties with people her mother knew or worked with. Instead, she got to wear something that was more to her liking than her mother’s. She was getting better and using the tablet less and less, but she kept it with her for when she needed it, so like always, it was with her. Between watching some people play video games, even trying a few herself, and hanging out with some friends, she was having a great time. Nam-Ra was trying not to think about how cute Leo was since she didn’t know completely how he felt towards her, not wanting to risk the friendship, especially when she hadn’t told him yet what she was. At no point had she planned on doing it at the party; however, at some point, she found herself with the courage to do it. The timing was bad and this wasn’t the place, but there was no way she was wasting the feeling only to have no idea when it might return. Grabbing Leo’s attention, she gave him a small smile before speaking, "Meet me outside, I need to talk to you."
Nam-Ra was great at a lot of things, but interaction with people outside of school work was not one of them. Hoping she didn’t come across as weird or anything. As she walked outside, where it was quiet, her hands were shaking more from nerves than the cold, and she knew it was nerves from worrying about how he would react. Something she'd thought about a lot, and now she'd find out if any of her theories were correct.
