Tess & Max
Max had been super excited to finally get out and do something that didn’t involve sitting in a hospital bed or taking it easy at home. Not counting her little breakout to hit up the gaming portal, she was still in a bit of trouble for that stunt. Yes, she knew the injuries were severe, but Max wasn’t the best at sitting still and doing nothing for a long period of time. Free from the clinic, Max was told that she couldn’t overdo it with anything since she still had a long way to go on healing. Still, she had been able to convince Zari to let her go to the arcade, especially since Zari and John would both be there, making sure nothing happened to her.
Dressed in sweats and a baggy shirt to deal with the cast on her arm and the one on her leg, she was situated in a remote wheelchair, allowing her to get around. Though she was now regretting her choice to come, realizing now how she wasn’t even able to play any of her favorite games. The lack of both hands made it rather difficult to play most of the games. Next year, she’d definitely be wiping the floor with people, but this year? Not so much. Unable to play much, she was people watching more, and noticed the woman who seemed a bit lost. Waiting until she came closer, Max turned the chair a bit to be more facing the woman.
“You look very lost or I need to work on reading people? If it’s the second, then I have some time to work on that,” she joked, knowing she probably shouldn’t with her situation, but it wasn’t like it really mattered whether she ignored it or not, the injuries were still going to be there.
