Dick pitied anyone who underestimated Barbara just because she was in a wheelchair. She was still one of the deadliest people he knew. Yes, she could be at a disadvantage and, yes, she'd be even more deadly if she was still walking, but Barbara had adapted rather than roll over. It was one of the reasons why he loved her, even if he didn't say those words outright.
"How can I say no to that plan?" It was a damn good one, after all, and it was the perfect balance of 'being here', but also leaving as soon as possible to do things they both liked better.
He leaned down and kissed her, though kept it appropriate. Still, his voice was a little warmer and smoother as he half whispered. "After that I'll show you how much of a fan I really am of you."
