Bex | Marcel
Rebekah carried herself with poise and confidence at all times and while she thrived in this kind of environment, she couldn't help, but feel a tad worried. Irina had put the Madison museum on the map for many people and with her arrival back in town, people would be comparing Rebekah and Claudia's efforts to everything Irina ever did. Just the fact that her niece was here put pressure on both of them to make sure the night ran smoothly.
Marcel's vote of confidence in that moment truly helped Rebekah. She needed him in her corner and she knew Claudia appreciated his encouragement too. "I appreciate that, Marcel. We both do very much." Rebekah squeezed his shoulder gently.
As he tipped her chin upwards, her blue eyes meeting his dark ones, Rebekah couldn't help, but smile at his words. "I know you do," Rebekah whispered before his lips caught hers in a soft kiss. Even if she was a Mikaelson and Mikaelsons always stuck together. Marcel's love for her outweighed all of that. Despite disliking her brothers at times, Marcel's love for her never wavered. Neither did his support and desire to protect her.
As he pulled back, Rebekah beamed at his praise. "Yes, well, the winter wonderland theme was Claudia's idea. We both helped to bring it to life. We thought it more fitting than another masquerade. Plus, it goes along with our idea for a coat drive," Rebekah explained, watching as he took in the room, the atmosphere with clear approval.
