Jessica | Sherlock
Sherlock had considered telling Jessica that she didn't have to go to the New Year's Eve party. He understood that wearing a dress wasn't something she was particularly fond of. He wasn't usually one to allow someone to get out of the consequences of losing a bet, but this was Jessica. He loved her, and he wanted her to be happy. But she had agreed to dress up and go to the party if she lost the bet, and she had lost the bet.
And once he saw her in the dress, he decided that it was silly to let her get out of it.
He had dressed for the occasion as well. He wasn't usually one who really cared what he wore, but he thought that if his girlfriend was going out of her comfort zone, he could, too.
He looked down at her when he felt her grab his arm, and his slipped his arm around her waist to help steady her so it wouldn't appear as though she were clinging to him for dear life. "You look good, though, Jessica," he said, softly. He leaned in and kissed her temple. "We don't have to stay long."
