Alyssa | Damien
Obviously, this was not Damien's first formal event in the over two hundred years he'd been alive. He was curious to see what it would entail; if it could compare to the event he'd hosted himself in Midnight Harbor. Obviously, there was the curiosity of how stunning Alyssa would no doubt look and her art collection that would also be on display that night too. However, underneath the curiosity, there was a feeling was wariness. If Kol was there, the night would be difficult. While Alyssa had made it clear that they needed to stay away from one another, Kol's attack on Damien was not something the vampire could forgive. Damien held grudges; just ask his brother.
But, for Alyssa's sake, he would maintain his distance. He wasn't prepared enough to seek any kind of retribution against Kol anyway. Not yet. Give him another few months in Madison and maybe he'd find someone that despised Alyssa's brother as much as he did. But for now, he would escort Alyssa and enjoy her company. He would never like Kol, but he did like his sister and while his brother might have dared it, Damien wasn't about to wreck her event to prove a point. This includes showing up late.
True to his word, Damien appeared outside the museum doors right at 8:30. Given it was a black tie event, Damien chose a classic, but expensive suit for the evening. While Bran had little issue showing the monster in public, the darkness, Damien tended to keep it far better concealed. In other words, Damien cleaned up well and he knew it.
It was impossible not to spot Alyssa at the entrance in her expensive dress and glitter. Not surprising, she was beautiful, the combination of the silver and her wings making her look every bit the part of the fairy girl Damien had dubbed her when they'd originally met. He couldn't help, but be instantly turned on at the sight of her; the nerves his senses picked up on only adding to the attraction. He liked that he might cause her to feel a bit nervous around him.
"Comme prévu, tu es superbe, petite fée," Damien greeted, reaching for her hand and pressed a kiss to the knuckles. He held out his arm. "On y va?"
