Alyssa | Damien
The Netherling felt incredibly nervous about the night. For one thing, she'd donated some art for charity and what if nobody purchased them? Those pieces looked at Madison in autumn from different vantage points. Alyssa began work on two new series, but the one she would save for her art show in March. That one she didn't quite want to unveil yet, given how personal it felt to her. She hadn't even told her siblings about it, because it would be a shattered glass series. The paintings would include her fractured memories from her life here before, seen through broken shards of glass.
Her current series involved moments from everything the town experienced in her home. One painting showed Bex and Alyssa with her children, Muse holding out his hand towards Bex while Bex held her niece. Another piece showed snippets of the feasts. They were done in mostly whites and reds, to symbolize the two courts.
Her nerves also had to do with her escort and the fact she hadn't really been escorted by anyone. She and Damien hadn't seen each other since the damn encounter with Kol. Alyssa knew it seemed as though she'd chosen Kol, and in a way she had. But, if she didn't care for Damien, the Red Queen would not have used all of her magic to intervene, or made sure Kol wouldn't attack him again. The flowers and quote gave the Netherling a little hope that perhaps they could still see what might happen.
Given she would be on a date, Alyssa went through her closet to find a dress and chose an Oscar de la Renta number. The dress dipped enough in the back to accommodate her wings. She swept back her hair in a half braid, leaving the other half to fall in waves around her face. Alyssa added a touch of hair glitter throughout the braid, silver mascara, and silver heels to complete the look. Given the markings and skin glitter, more makeup made zero sense on the blonde. Obviously she'd gotten Bex's approval first.
At 8:28pm, she made her way to the entrance, to wait for Damien, relishing in the cold. Experience told her how warm the museum would become with many bodies, so even in winter Alyssa didn't mind the cold for a few moments.
