Who: Karl and Chuuya What: planning for the New Year Where: Wyrm When: backdated to early Dec Warnings: well, they’re planning on stealing things… Status: closed/g-doc/in-progress
The werewolf ordered himself a scotch and slid into a booth away from prying ears. After all, he and Chuyya weren’t meeting to discuss the outcome of the latest Pacers game. Honestly, Karl felt kind of proud he remembered any professional sports teams names.
He knew of the plan on where they planned on hitting city wise, but no actual concrete plans beyond that. At the moment, Karl didn’t particularly want to take a trip before Christmas, given it was his first one as a father. He had enough money to get his family through Christmas.
Chuuya didn't really have any plans this month, but he was more than willing to wait and plan things out first. When he was a teenager, he'd been the type to jump head first into things. But he'd grown out of that and was now someone who actually preferred to talk things out and plan before doing anything, especially something like a jewelry heist.
He headed to the Wyrm, wearing something a bit more casual than his usual fancy suit, and spotted Karl. He headed over to the werewolf, sliding into the booth across from him. "Hey," he greeted.
Karl could be impulsive, but given they only had a limited amount of time in any one place, he’d prefer to plan out things. That way they weren’t suddenly back in Madison Valley with damn jewels and needing to wait to sell them again.
“Hey,” Karl greeted the vampire. His scent of copper passed through Karl’s senses. The server brought over Karl’s drink and waited for Chuuya to order. He indicated with his pad of paper, laptop, and pencils he was ready.
Most of the heists he had done back home took a bit longer, so it definitely annoyed Chuuya that they only had five days at most to do what they needed to. Sure, they could just go back and continue but it just seemed too much. They'd definitely have to make sure the plan goes more quickly than normal.
He ordered a scotch and made a face when he drank it. It wasn't as good as the ones at the casino or Verdant but it'll do. "So how many days do you think we should go?" he asked. "I don't know about you, but I can probably afford to go for the full five days."
“I’m thinking we should go the full five days. As much as I don’t want to be away from my daughter or wife that long, we’ll need the full amount of time most likely.” Karl didn’t like the idea of leaving Hope and Nita by themselves, but they’d have the rest of the Pack and Elena to take care of them.
“Unfortunately, we should probably have an idea of where we want to hit and try to get blueprints ahead of time. We’ll still need to case the place, but at least that will save us a day or two of planning?”
"I was thinking that too. So five days it is." Luckily for Chuuya (or maybe unlucky depending on how one looks at it), he didn't have to worry about leaving anyone behind.
"I have a few places in mind we can hit." Of course, that depended on if said places existed in this universe. Chuuya was aware that while the same places existed in several universes, they might not be exactly the same. "We'll probably need to start right away then. Since I don't need sleep, I can also keep checking the place through the night." He didn't care much for being a vampire, but sometimes it came in handy.
“Five days it is.” Karl knew Hope would understand, especially if he brought home something with residual chaos vibes.
“I think we’ll have enough research to do before we go. Obviously, I’ll help, but maybe we should meet again next week and see where we’re at? I’m going to do some research. Hopefully what we find out here is the same in this world.” Karl took another sip of his bourbon. He had a list of possibilities already and handed them to Chuuya.
