Laura wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea of going to school. School had never really been part of the agenda back home. Now that she was in Madison Valley, though, she was expected to attended. She had tried to talk her way into becoming homeschooled, but that didn't seem like it had gone over well.
Obviously, seeing as she was still enrolled in public school.
Crap.
She entered the library after school let out. She had a project she needed to work on, and the library seemed like the logical place to go. She had never really researched anything for a project before -- this whole thing was new to her.
So if she appeared lost and conufused, that's because she was.
