George was always up for spending a little time with his family, especially his twin brother Fred. It wasn't that he loved Fred more than his other brothers, but more the fact that back home he had lost his brother. So, he was beyond grateful for any chance that he had to spend time with Fred, because he never knew for sure that he wasn't going to be sent back home and lose the chance all over again. Ever since he had arrived back in Madison Valley he had made it a point to make the most of every moment that he got to spend with any member of his family. Losing Fred had made him realize just how fleeting life really was, and it didn't matter how much magic someone had. He could still lose any member of his family at anytime, so wasting time wasn't an option for him anymore. This desire led George to plan a nice dinner at home with his brother; his plan was to enjoy having his brother here and let the pair of them order a nice meal at the same time. It just seemed like the perfect way to spend some time together and on top of that they wouldn't have to worry about having an audience. George knew that this place was different from back home; he didn't have to hide his magic here, but it still felt strange to him to talk about certain things in public. Some habits were just harder than others to break, and since he had the option of having a private meal here he would prefer to do just that. Takeout had been an option, but George wanted to do something nice for his brother. So, he had made the attempt to cook a meal that was similar to something his mother would have made. The meal had actually turned out fairly close and he hoped that his brother would at least appreciate the attempt. After all, not many people could hold a candle to Molly Weasley. Sitting in the chair at the kitchen table, George flipped through a magazine he had been reading while he waited on Fred to join him. |
