Josie had known that her sister was right the moment she had given her the advice, but it still didn't make it any easier for her to talk to Rowan. But she also knew that the longer she waited the worse it would feel if Rowan decided to end their friendship. She knew that she could handle Rowan not feeling the same way and still being friends with her, but the idea of losing Rowan as a friend all together really did scare her. After all, Rowan was one of the first people she met here, but more than that Rowan had been so accepting of her. And then there was the fact that Rowan looked just like Penelope Park, but Josie had already dealt with the idea of her liking Rowan just because of that. There was so much more to it than that; she now was sure that she liked Rowan because of the person she was on the inside and not just because of the way that she looked. So, with all of that in mind he decided to ask Rowan out for lunch, because it would be nice to be able to do this without her family around. It wasn't that she thought they would snoop, but she didn't want to risk them over-hearing anything, because if this went poorly she wanted time to deal with it in her own way. She had never been one to talk about her feelings and this time wouldn't be any different. Though she was at least trying a little something different this time around; she was trying her level best to be more positive and hope for a better outcome than she had with these types of situations in the past. She had arrived early at the restaurant and she was already sitting at the table when she her friend make her way through the door. She didn't want to seem too eager, so she waited patiently for Rowan to make her way over to the table. |
