Gibbs was one of those strange people that could drink coffee all day long and yet sleep when the time came. Of course with his line of work there was also times when he would be awake for days at a time and then crash over the weekend, but his training and lots of coffee made all of that possible. Being trained as a marine tends to cause a guy to have a wide variety of skills, and this was one of the ones Gibbs had found most useful over the years. So, even with it getting it late in the evening he was heading to Starbucks to try another coffee place in this new town. Of course like many others who loved coffee he had been to a Starbucks, but he also firmly believed that not all Starbucks were the same. He had been too multiple towns all over the country that had more than once Starbucks and he knew that there was a reason for that. Meeting Miss Garcia earlier in the day had certainly been a pleasant surprise for him. She had reminded him of Abby in a lot of ways and because of this he found himself instantly liking her more than he did most people. Gibbs was known for being a bit of gruff, but it had become common knowledge that he was always nice to Abby. For some reason she had always brought out the softer side of him. Perhaps Garcia would be able to do the same and keep him from going crazy in this new place. He had gotten her contact information, so that they could keep in touch and he was determined to do just that. Though when he headed into Starbucks nearly half an hour after leaving his home he was alone. He hadn't wanted to monopolize her entire day and he was certainly able to get coffee on his own. He made his way up to the counter, ordered his black coffee and a pastry for his dinner. It wasn't the healthiest thing he could eat, but at least he wouldn't have to cook anything when he got home. It wasn't long before he heard the barista call his name, so he made his way up to the counter and collected his purchases. And after choosing his seat he began to enjoy the food in front of him. |
