Who: Leonard and Sara What: The heat goes out at Verdant. Fun times. When: Wednesday evening Where: Verdant Rating: TBD Status: Closed; Incomplete
Normally, Leonard loved the cold. Craved it even. But with the temperatures dipping well below freezing and the heat out in the club, Leonard was not nearly as big of a fan. Thankfully, it was a weekday and when they had to evacuate the club, there were far less grumbling patrons to escort out than if it had been on a weekend. After sending home the majority of the staff, Leonard found himself alone at the bar, sipping a glass of water, and awaiting Sara's return from chatting with the HVAC technician.
Given he was staff, Leonard could have gone home to his warm apartment, but there was no way Leonard was leaving Sara to enjoy this wintry paradise without him. No, he'd rather stick around and offer his body heat like the good boyfriend he happened to be. And with the majority of the staff gone? That offer could be made in more than a few creative kind of ways.
As he tugged his coat tighter around him, Leonard sipped his water and couldn't help, but think of their time trapped together on the Waverider. Yes, they were in a similar chilly predicament back then too. Of course, that was a far more life and death scenario than what was currently unfolding at Verdant now. But it had also been the setting where Leonard opened up to Sara about Mick, about how they met, and how he'd saved Leonard from certain death back in Juvie. How Mick could be a scary guy if Leonard wasn't around to keep him in line. The memory sent a way of nostalgia washing over Leonard and he suddenly wished he was drinking something far stronger.
