The cold spell that struck Madison Valley didn't seem to be dissipating anytime soon. Thankfully, the heat in their new home was working, but it still couldn't completely eradicate the chill from within the walls. Currently, Isobel was wearing layers, complete with a cozy sweater on top, pair of jeans, and warm slippers. After work, she'd come home and immediately taken a shower to warm up, but somehow, the chill just wouldn't leave her bones. As she padded into the kitchen, Isobel wrapped her arms around herself and immediately scanned the kitchen for the tea kettle. If a shower and numerous clothes wouldn't do the trick, then a cup of hot tea surly would.
Knowing her ward was home, Isobel called out as she put the kettle on the stove to heat up. "River! Do you want some tea?" Switching on the burner, the blond turned her attention to the cabinets, pulling out two cups and a variety of teas from the cabinet. She also put some sugar out too and dug out the cookies she'd bought from the store on the way home. Between comfort food and tea, something had to warm them up, right?
