Re: Ruby and Nikita
Nikita’s back was slightly hurting from when she had been put on the hook. Even though it wasn’t real and didn’t leave any marks, it felt like it and definitely not something she’d ever experienced before or wanted to again. She had made sure to get Ruby off one when she had managed to get caught, but when the roles were reversed, she sacrificed herself before Ruby could even try to come save her. Even with it being a game, there was no way she was having anyone risk their life for her, especially someone who she saw as like a niece.
“Hey,” she said, hearing the concern in her voice and seeing it all over her face, “come here.” Ignoring the feeling as if something was still in her to hug the younger girl, comforting her. “I’m fine. Not exactly a fun way to be killed in a game, but I’m fine,” she told her, making sure her voice was firm and didn’t waver. Nikita was used to people trying to kill her and almost dying enough that she could handle it. But she hated that Ruby seemed to be having a bit of a difficult time with what she saw. “Do you want to see my back so you can see it’s fine?” She asked, pulling back to brush some of Ruby’s hair out of her face. “You did great, Ruby! And you beat the bad guy.” Nikita would have to text Qrow once out of the portal to give him a heads up on watching over Ruby.
