Jaune was still getting used to his new surroundings, and he knew that the best way to truly learn about this place was to ask someone that he trusted. Sure, there would have been a time when he would freaking out about all of this, but his time at Beacon had certainly changed him in ways that he couldn't have ever imagined. He knew that he still had a long way to go, but he was also proud of the man he was becoming.....but mostly because he knew that Pyrrha would be. She had seen the good in him before he had even seen it in himself, and he wanted to live up to the man she had believed that he could be. It was one of the reasons he was always trying his best to improve in anyway he could. So, even though he still wasn't the best fighter, he knew that he had improved even more drastically in other areas. So, even though this place seemed like it wasn't that dangerous he would continue to work on his skills every single day. Today's goal was gathering information about his new surroundings and he had selected Ruby's uncle Qrow to begin his search. Yes, there was members of his own team here, but starting with Qrow seemed like a smart choice. He hadn't always trusted the older man, but he did now. But more than that he knew that Qrow would...as always be straight with him. That was what he needed right now. He didn't want to be coddled and told that everything would be alright. He wanted the truth about their current situation and if there was a specific reason that they were here. He knew that there was a strong chance that he wasn't going to get the answers that he wanted, but he was finding it hard to believe that they were chosen at random. But there was always the chance that he could be proven wrong, but that wouldn't stop him from the asking the questions....not anymore. He wasn't that shy kid that had started Beacon determined to prove himself. They had agreed to meet at one of the restaurants in town. It had just made sense to kill two birds with one stone; he could ask his questions and get his dinner at the same time. They both needed to eat. Jaune had wanted to make sure that he had time to find the place, so he had left early. This meant that he was the first one there, so he was shown to their table and he ordered a pot of tea for the table and then waited for the other man to arrive. It would have been rude to order before the other man arrived, so he waited patiently. |
