Barbara followed him and turned her chair so she could listen to him without anyone trying to be all nosey. She knew this crowd loved putting their noses where they didn’t belong and were not needed. At his question and then his bigger explanation, she nodded in agreement, glancing over at Lois who was talking to some people off to the side. “No, that could work, and since Lois is the woman’s biggest fan, she’d really take a liking to us for humiliating the woman who keeps coming for her.” Continuing on with his thought, and liking it…well other than the throwing a drink at Lois, but it was worth the whole thing to get the details needed. Handing her drink to Dick, she pulled out her cell and sent a few messages back and forth before the phone went back in her purse. Once out of sight, she turned her attention on Dick, giving him a smile that usually said she was up to something.
“So,” she started, taking her drink back from him, pausing for a moment before finishing. “She’s fine with a drink being thrown at her, but I have to buy her a coffee and you get to watch out for Laura one night, making sure she doesn’t try to watch any movies that she shouldn’t be watching while Lois and Clark have a date night.” Okay, technically, she was the one Lois had wanted, but Barbara figured she’d volunteer Dick for that part of the deal. Maybe it was a bit evil, but hey, she thought it was hilarious. “But yeah, she was fine with it. She said she’d slowly make her way to the bar for a new drink for the scene to happen. You can come in and pull me away to prevent me from making a huge scene in front of people because the woman isn’t worth the energy type of things.”
