Of course, Lois had already earned herself a bit of a reputation as a journalist around this town. Some people recognized her name, and some realized it with the articles that she put out. The host had invited her, thinking she had the upper hand with keeping Lois very much in the dark, and the woman wasn’t the first or last person who tried to put her on edge. Just like she wouldn’t be the first or last to find that didn’t work with her. The host figured that by being a woman, she could play innocent and keep people in the dark with what she was doing. All of which Lois was wanting to expose, wanting the people to see who this woman really was. Lois always had her way, thanks to her ability to earn the trust of people, and knowing how to use her connections. While she didn’t know Barbara and Dick per say, she figured out that they sorta came from her world in a way. Different timeline, same area of things and had connections. As far as she was concerned, they were from the same world, she knew people close to them, and that made them okay. Dressed in a black dress, she had left Clark home with Laura, feeling Dick and Barbara could slip under the radar a bit more. Nodding back as she took a sip of her drink, Lois picked right into the conversation that was going on around her without even missing a beat.

Barbara had her hair pulled up in a clip and a long dress on, realizing how much she missed stuff like this. Not the party because lord knows it wasn’t not her idea of fun, especially with the ass kissing. But the use of her skills to get information, feeling more like she was at home than anything. Helped that she had Dick with her, and that he was looking very handsome in his suit, noticing a few women were seeing that exact same thing. Thanking the waiter, she took a glass and waited a moment before speaking, “How should we work this one? You may not be the best with small talk, but you’ve always had a way of charming women,” Barbara managed to hide the hint of jealousy that may have briefly come over her, thinking of Dick flirting with another woman. It was silly since he would only be doing it to help Lois, and not because he was interested in the woman.
