Nam-Ra found Leo’s smile to be adorable and she liked him just the way he was. He was everything her mother would be against, but Nam-Ra never wanted what her mother felt she should want. It was one of the better parts of being trapped in the dome because she was free to spend time with whoever she wanted without the fear of her mother finding out. Still, she knew she didn’t stand a chance and she shouldn’t with what she was.
Even if it had been heavy, Nam-Ra wouldn’t have had a problem with it. Listening to what he said and letting the tablet translate the words that she didn’t fully understand. “I can do that. Do I just hold them up and keep them steady while you drill?” She asked, moving to the other side, figuring it might be easier. Her eyes flickering for a moment just next to Leo, watching Gwi-Nam move to crouch next to him. “I bet he would taste good. One bite, you can see the veins in his neck, calling to you.” Nam-Ra swallowed, shifting her attention away, and hating herself for even looking for even a moment. There was nothing in the world that could get her to give in, but she still hated herself. She knew she was much stronger than that and allowing Gwi-Nam that power was something to be ashamed of. “Tell me when,” she said in English, looking down at Festus because she felt guilty even looking at Leo.
