Colin was probably the only person to not be terribly affected by the whole weirdness. Yeah, he didn't want to be there. Nobody did. He'd vastly prefer to not risk life and limb. But he was there and on the surface of it? He'd seen worse while on a bad trip.
That didn't mean he wasn't being careful, though. He wasn't stupid, after all. Especially not when it came to his own survival. Just because he knew what would happen to him was no reason to hurry it along any. He rather enjoyed this life, thank you very much, and had no desire to see just how much he'd remember the next time around. (The longer he was there, the more he found himself hoping he'd remember it all.)
It was daylight, so Colin figured he stood better odds of not running into any of the creatures. Or at the very least, he'd see them coming. And so he was out exploring, figuring out the differences bit by bit. And if he was keeping an eye out for people he knew -- or at least knew of -- well, then so be it. He was blase and apathetic sometimes, but he wasn't like that.
