Re: Allison and Rowan
Rowan wasn’t at all surprised on Allison keeping up with her. She’d have been more surprised if the woman hadn’t because Rowan was walking quickly and knew Allison could keep up. Right now, she just wanted out and still be able to claim that she made it all the way through. That was her big goal for this evening just to survive and not run out of here screaming or crying. So far she hadn’t had a breakdown with tears, taking that as a win.
Squeezing Allison’s hand to remind herself that the woman was with her even if her eyes were on the front. “I got this,” she told herself once again in the fog, knowing something would be jumping out at them. There was no way they didn’t set up a spot like this with different parts to hide behind and not have someone jump out. Just as she thought, Rowan had someone jump out; however, she was focused on the exit and moving, it didn’t have the same reaction. “Nope, not here for that,” she said, not really caring if anyone heard or not.
When Allison pointed out the exit, Rowan had never been happier to see some lights. Heading for it and passing through to find it was the exit and that other people were here. “Yes, finally! I did it and now I’m not going back in there,” she said, hugging Allison all proud that she had done it and also that Allison had been there for her. “I think I’ve earned myself some candy after all that. What do you say? We can talk while we check things out.” Since it’d be easier than back in the haunted area.
