Brooke was bored with lecture hall already, and was doodling some new fashion designs in her notebook rather than notes. They’d be on the internet later so it wasn’t like she had to pay attention plus the professor was boring. If she didn’t do something, his voice was going to have her asleep in the back. Finally free half an hour early than when class should end, Brooke left the campus with her bag over one shoulder. Checking the time on her phone, she had some time before having to go head into work. Brooke was determined to enjoy the last little bit of warmer weather before her summer clothes had to go away by wearing a skirt and a crop top with matching heels. Rather than heading back to her house right away, she decided to swing by the Halloween shop to maybe try to settle on some costumes.
She was trying to narrow down her costume options to three. Yes, she was going to stick with three, maybe four costumes since one never knew what type of parties or events might be going on around this place. Maybe she’d throw her own since it had been a while or see about doing one at the club. Something to think about after rather than right now. Not even five minutes in the store, and she already had a lace corset draped over one of her arms. Even though it was meant to go with a vampire outfit, she had no plans to use it that way. It was cute and she could use it for something not involving Halloween, making it a definite on her purchase list. Reminding herself this was costume shopping, she went back to the original task of costume shopping, not personal everyday shopping.
Brooke was settled on one of her costumes being Red Riding Hood, but with the different options, she wandered away to let her brain think it over. At the moment, she was standing and looking at the ganster costume in one hand and a Cleopatra outfit in the other. Noticing a female, Brooke gave the woman a smile. “Hey, which one do you like better?” She held up the two, hoping the woman could be helpful or she’d be texting pictures to her friends for some honest truths.
