Who: Jonathan Tipton-Clarke and Sharon Carter What: Conversation over Coffee (Match-Up) When: Monday, October 3 Where: A Coffee Shop Warnings: None, probably Status: Closed/Ongoing
After an initial conversation on the net, Jonathan had invited Sharon Carter to coffee. He had a lot of questions for her, as both someone who'd been in Madison longer than he had and as someone who had been here, vanished, and returned. She'd agreed, and so here he was, loitering in the coffee shop waiting to buy them both a coffee before picking her brain.
The Wild Card had produced a lot of aces whose powers and personas were based on myth and legend back home. Some even claimed to be those mythical figures. Most were posers, who knew full well that they were pretending. A pitiful few really believed their own hype. But Jonathan had taken comfort in the knowledge that none of it was real, that all those reality-breaking powers were the result of the Wild Card.
But people from myth and legend existed here, as did people from many worlds. Some of those worlds were fiction in his world, and yet the people really existed. Which was bad enough. Worse was the thought that he might be considered a fictional character in someone else's world. Thinking too much about that was not good for one's mental health.
He recognized Sharon Carter from her network icon when she arrived, and he waved her over.
