Dean turned to look at her with an apologetic smile. "I'll be fine, Lis. I promise. I mean, in the past, anything over four hours of sleep was considered sleeping in." He didn't want her to worry about him at all, but it felt nice to know he mattered to her. Not that he didn't already know it.
"You and Charlie will always come first." It was easy to put aside his needs. In the past, he hadn't cared much about what happened to him. Now, things were a little different since he had Lisa and a daughter on the way, but he would never put himself first. It was just second nature to him at this point.
"You know, it's too bad she won't be walking by the wedding. She could have been the flower girl. If they still have those, anyway." Dean let out a tired yawn and his arms stretched out overhead, shifting against the bed. "If I fall asleep, you won't leave the room, right?"
