Leonard and Sara (Any day)
As their lips parted and Sara's forehead came to rest against his, Leonard truly believed there was nothing better in the world than this moment. No heist, no amount of money or jewels could compete with having Sara Lance in his arms atop a Ferris Wheel in one hell of a strange town. All of it against all odds too. It all felt bittersweet to Leonard. Did he deserve it? No, probably not. Was he going to take advantage for all it was worth? Hell yes he was because they both knew what resided for him on the other side of this place and it didn't involve stealing kisses from a beautiful woman at the top of a Ferris Wheel.
But then she spoke up, voice soft, and what she said did the opposite of panic. It thrilled him. Sure, there was the underlying fear that came with hearing such a heavy statement from the woman he cared about. Particularly because he never said those words to anyone outside of his sister and even then it was a rare moment when they parted his lips for Lisa.
Could he say it back? Leonard was rarely tongue-tied, but in this instance, he felt he was teetering on the edge of being such. Yet, looking into her eyes, feeling the warmth of her breath on his face, and the sensation of her forehead resting against his, Leonard knew he could. Knew it was possibly something he'd always wanted to say, but that the moment had never felt right. Possibly never could be right back home, but here? Here it was.
His hand cupped her face gently, thumb brushing over her cheek, and he pressed another brief, soft kiss to her lips. Pulling away, he gave her a rare, but very genuine smile.
"I love you, Sara Lance. Congratulations. You have stolen my heart."
